The ‘big one’ that we need to leave is Tal Ben-Haim, should he do this then the chances of Pompey avoiding liquidation on Friday will swing in our favour.

Having been booed once more by the Pompey fans during our thumping 3-0 win over Bolton at Fratton on Saturday, as he was at Aldershot in midweek, TBH is ‘hinting’ that he will be leaving in the next day or so?

Tuesday, according to his thoughts in The Sunday Express, could well be the day he goes: ‘we are still talking and hopefully I will have something to tell you by Tuesday.

‘There is not much more I can say at the moment. I don’t want to say anything that will not be helpful.’

This is the most positive that he has sounded about moving on so lets hope and pray that a realistic compromise to get the £2m earner out of his contract can be arranged.

Where he goes I could not give a monkies, I just hope he does!

‘If’ he does that will leave us with just the one senior 1st team player to move on, although apparently Liam Lawrence – who scored a belter against Bolton – ‘might’ agree a deal to allow him to stay at Fratton on affordable terms?

Although you would think that would be unlikely wouldn’t you…
