Harry Redknapp has told reporters – with this appearing first on sky sports – that he was only arrested to assist the Police with their enquires.

He says he had to be arrested to be taken to the police station to assist with there enquires: ‘we all helped the police with their inquiries, but it doesn’t directly concern me – it’s other people involved.

‘I’ve been answering questions to help the police. I am not directly concerned with their inquiries.

‘They have to arrest you to talk to you, for you to be in the police station.

‘I think that’s the end of it. It didn’t directly concern me’.

It is being said that the allegations being made are believed to be regarding 2 of the other men arrested, not Redknapp or Peter Storrie who were just assisting with enquires.

Lets hope that this is the end of it for Redknapp and he can now crack on with his preparations for our game with Everton at the weekend.

Come on ‘arry there as easier ways to rule yourself out of the England running to prevent yourself being branded a ‘traitor’ by English fans than this…
