Appy has left the building

Well, there you go, Pompey are back on the two steps forward, three steps back dance routine, with the news that the trust takeover is getting closer, Appy ups sticks and goes to the golden mile on the lancashire coast.

It was no surprise in the end, family was in Preston, he is a northern lad and no doubt sick of treading water at Pompey as we wait for some sort of stability.
Last night’s ‘I’ve had no contact with Blackpool’ was obviously absolute bull, but to be fair I feel this was the first time he has not been upfront with us in his year in charge.

Appy leaves us still swirling round in circles, not his fault of course, how many of the players remain after January arrives is any bodies guess, he made some decent signings in his time, what probably frustrated was his lack of tactical nous at times, players out of position and the Scott Allan situation at the weekend all pointed to a naivety at times.

What lies in store for us next is any bodies guess, from a fans point of view I would like a more outwardly passionate man in charge now, I thank Appy for his efforts and wish him the best for the future, bring on the next man to the Pompey merry go round.
