Another consortium on the horizon?

Duffen was the man who took Hull from the Championship to the Premiership, for that he is commended, but he left with them struggling both on the pitch and with finances, would we be prepared to got through all that again?

Here is what he told Express FM

‘I have been monitoring the situation at Portsmouth for several months and trying to do a deal for some weeks. I have a fully funded bid ready to go,’
‘I have been looking for a good opportunity and biding my time but I would love to get back into football and take charge of a club with such fantastic potential.

‘I had three very successful years there, culminating in promotion to the Premier League, and have done my time in the university of football that is the north of England.

‘But I would love to get back in and it is no secret I live just outside Guildford.

‘Portsmouth have a fantastic fan base and there is great potential to develop Fratton Park. It is a challenge that excites me.’

He certainly seems keen to get reinvolved with football, he failed in the past with proposed takeovers at West ham and Cardiff, what Pompey need right now though is stability, not a quick fix, if he were to sort out Fratton first, then a training ground maybe I would believe in him, at least then he would leave a legacy!
