A Spurs point of view

What made you support Spurs mate?
The theory of push and run football, stylish, fluent, attractive to watch. Players such as Aussie, Ricki, Hoddle, and Waddle. Later I found out it was also my Grandads team so it ran in the family.

Are you happy with how your season is going so far?
Very disappointing, two seasons of finishing 5th, much was expected, and very little delivered.

Martin Jol finally got the boot recently to be replaced by ‘One Day’ Ramos – what were the thoughts on Jol going and how is Ramos currently being rated?
I was a little disappointed at Jol going, and very disappointed at how the board got rid of him also. Jol was making some mistakes, so I guess something needed to be done, however I thought it went deeper than just Jol. Ramos is now finding this out to, the team lacks confidence.

Will Ramos need signing in January – and will he get them?
Difficult one to speculate on, Jol spent in the region of £30-£40m before he left, so not sure if the board is willing to spend any more. We need to invest in a few areas tho, such as a commanding centre midfielder, and adding to our defence, which is just all over the place at the moment.

Who is the Spurs danger man that Pompey should watch?
Berbatov is obviously always the man to watch, not scoring much in the league, but his passing and ball skills are second to none. On recent games tho an unlikely player has proved himself the one to watch in the form of Steed, by far the on form player for us at the moment.

How do you reckon Spurs will go this season?
Have to say it’s looking like the same old spurs this year, so will go for high mid table. May well get a good run in a cup and Europe.

What about Pompey?
Showing some “unusual” good form this season, and fair play to them. Good work rate and play solid as a team. Think some players going on the African cup will determine Pompey’s season. If they get through that still playing well, then Europe beckons.

If you could take any Pompey player from our squad and put him in yours, who would it be and why?
Not sure I would pick one individual player, I would rather we took your ethos of playing as a solid unit, that you cant buy.

(Defiantly not Judas tho!)

Go on – who is going to win, Pompey or Spurs?
Of course have to say Spurs, in a classic tight clash 1-2 to us.
