Some of you might have noticed that pompeycarpet had basically been challenged to ‘design a cup final t-shirt’ within a forum thread – click here…
Well he did this, but Chix then took the idea a step further and developed it a little more! After doing more work on a design, he has then taken the next step of approaching a printer to get a quote to have them printed up for us.
So here is the ‘100% unofficial Vital Pompey cup final t-shirt’ in mock up form, bare this in mind, this is just to give you an idea of the shirt.
The more of us that are interested the cheaper they will become!
The maximum price will be £11 – yep I know we do not want to pay that, I do not want to pay that and if we do not get enough interest we probably will not do them. If enough are sold we will only have to pay £6 each, which I dare say we would sell enough… however to get them for as little as £6 each we need ‘concrete yes I would like one please’ answers, and ASAP!
If we get enough early interest Chix can place an order tomorrow, and if he does this by then we will have them – and so will you – by cup final day and there is a good chance we will have them by the Fulham game – so as a meeting will be planned (not that I have told you yet!) at the Milton Arms that day you can come along and collect it.
Obviously there will only be a limited number, but in order to make it even worthwhile putting in an order we need a rough idea of how many people want them – hopefully if you say you want one you will take one, otherwise the price per t-shirt for all will rise, the more we sell the cheaper they will be, only £6 each if we sell enough. They are being passed on at face value, so no profit is made here!
Posting the t-shirts is a possibility if collecting in person proves a problem for the Fulham game – if they are ready – or in the week in the lead-up to the cup final. You would simply need to provide me with your address and I will put you in touch with Chix and he will organise the payment and posting, with you obviously having to cover this too.
One final thing there is a thought of reversing the position of the Knight and the Dragon so they sit under Pompey and Cardiff names as it is thought this could be better. To be honest I am not sure they will look as good with the characters reversed, but that is just my opinion…
So if you want a shirt or shirts say below, stating how many and give us a size S, L, M, XL etc.
