Not for the first time Ian Wright has urged his adopted son Shaun Wright-Phillips to quit Chelski and sign for Pompey.

Wright had previously been quite vocal on this issue, in both the papers and on TalkSport radio and once again – and stronger than ever – he has been telling the papers that a move to Pompey is the way to go, with The News quoting some of what he had said to a national daily: ‘I think Portsmouth would be a good move for Shaun.

‘Being at a club like Portsmouth, where he’s going to play regularly, will boost him.

‘He’ll also get back in the England squad on merit instead of being there just because he’s at a big club.’

Come on Shaun you know it makes sense, Pompey is the place to be!

I would be delighted if we could sign him as he would create so many goals, as well as score others. The concerns that we cannot afford him are there, but surely we will have a budget of £20m-£30m this summer, spending two thirds of this on both Peter Crouch and Wright-Phillips would be money very well spent in my thinking and this outlay could easily be recouped and more if both perform to the true capabilities.

So do we want Wright-Phillips at Pompey or not guys, as always thoughts below please…
