I sat listening to the Stevenage cup game on Saturday and did my normal trawl of other games to see which ex-Pompey players were playing where, how they were performing and whether they have further their career since leaving Pompey etc.. and just as Gavin Mahon was getting sent off I clicked on Wolves.
I viewed the Wolves team playing Oldham and could not believe that Jamie O’Hara could not even make their bench .. I stated doing some digging and it seems that at the start of the season he was not even allocated a squad number … and this is for a League ONE side !!
If one was to look deep enough into the situation one ‘could’ read that having been given a lucrative five year contract and then getting sent-off in a crucial match at in the run-in last season …. the fans have turned on him and see him for the reason for two successive relegations… I think even their new manager has jumped on the bandwagon.
Well given the success he had at Pompey and the rapport he had with our fans I say to Guy .. Go do a deal with Wolves …. We surely can’t afford to buy him .. but surely Wolves would want to sell him (he was transfer listed earlier in the season) especially with two years still on his contract .. We could put him in the Shop Window for them.
What do you think .. If we had the chance would you welcome Jamie O’Hara back to Pompey .. even if it was just a loan stint until the end of the season ?
