Introduction

To be honest with you none of us really know what to expect this summer do we? We can only ‘hope’ that this or that will happen, so we only really have hope, right?

Clearly our priority is to see us taken over, and by someone who will hopefully ‘do right by us!’ Granted this will be a businessman or businessmen who WILL want some return on this investment, that is football for you! But they do not need to fleece us for all they can!

All in all, like I say, this is going to, in many ways basically be ‘guess work’ and maybe some will be more ruled by the heart more than the head, also A LOT will depend on things such as Uncle Avram staying or not I guess…

#6 Hayden Mullins

Another one very much in the ‘Aaron Mokoena category’ of not really being ‘rated’ to put it mildly, but for much, much longer!

Appreciation for the guy has grown with him coming more of a crowd pleaser, I would not quite say favourite though, in recent times. He is a no-nonsense and no quarter asked type of player really, who has grown into his role – granted it took a lot of time.

Will he stay or will he go?

Go, although he is another I would not mind staying…

Again, as said, I would not mind Mullins sticking around to be honest. Had I had these thoughts a few months ago I would have been shot down, in fact dragged off to the funny farm methinks!

For me he has ‘probably’ always suffered from the ‘ex syndrome’ I reckon.

The likes of players such as Sulley Muntari, Gary O’Neil, Pedro Mendes, Lassana Diarra etc., that went before him, were put on a pedestal far above him to a level that he could not reach. Some of these names – as most others players at many clubs would find hard be to be fair – were a mile off in terms of quality, but for his effort and commitment, traits that I like, I cannot really fault him.

Also, again like Mokoena, I suspect that the fact that offers will come in for him, with him also on ‘decent money’ like most players, he will be cashed in on – although the no power championship would be a level he would excel at next season you would think if he stayed…
