Welcome back Steve

Pompey give a quick welcome back to ex-manager Steve Cotterill as his Forest side make the trek south.

Vital Quotes:

One familiar face will be the in the dugout anyway, if he is joined by Micky Meathead or Coppell the Coot is anyone’s guess.

Hopefully Cotterill won’t get a bad reception, he done alright by our club, the football might not of been the most exciting but he stood up for Pompey when we were totally rudderless when others would of walked.

Pompey Team News:

Pompey may have Liam Lawrence fit after all, he has made a quick recovery from an ankle knock after looking like he may spend a period on the side lines.

Also back in contention will be Halford, his shoulder injury has cleared up and he will probably replace Mokoena at right back.

The Gray/Whittingham duo will probably go for home ‘rules’ tomorrow, that means Huseklepp in for Ward and the onus more on attack, so far they have resisted starting Razak, but he seems to be forcing his way into the reckoning with every training session.

Player to watch: Kitson

Obviously didn’t see eye to eye with Cotterill even though he was a regular starter under his tenure, feels he let the side down missing a good chance on tuesday, what better was to make up for it by netting tomorrow?

Notts Forest Team News:

Forest have a bit of an injury crisis going on, ironically this has coincided with their best run of form this season.

Cotterill has got Forest looking more resolute at the back and winning games once more, 9 points out of 12 is not bad form at all.

Player to watch: McGugan

One of Forest’s players of the season last term, gets goals from deep and is a real threat.

Match Facts & Stats

Defeat in January ended a run of 6 straight wins over Forest for Pompey, although our win at home was quite a fortuitous one if I recall.

Ref Watch:

Norman Bates, normal guy
