Avram Grant’s name has been ‘linked’ with several clubs, both in this country – at various levels – and abroad, although a national team has been thrown into he equation this morning…

The Mail ‘claims’ that Belgium have made an approach for him to become their new manager after Dick Advocaat quit the job, after just 6-months, earlier this month.

Grant is no stranger to international management although I suspect that he would ‘prefer’ to be involved in the day-to-day goings on of club management – be that here of elsewhere…

Admin Andy is also quoted in The Mail as saying: ‘we will be speaking to Avram to see if we can come up with an agreement,’ in reference to Grant having to take a ‘substantial pay cut on his £900,000-a-year salary next season’ in order to stay on.

Various ‘reports’ are also ‘claiming’ that West Ham – even though their joint owners are ‘said’ to be split on their support of current manager Gianfranco Zola – have put Grant at the top of their ‘wanted list’.

Although The News makes these claims: ‘despite the rumours, Grant is believed to be keen to stay put at Fratton Park – although that could hinge on the club finding a new buyer this summer.’

I am still unsure as to what I think he will do, I do think it will be hard for him to walk away although I could also understand if he did. Without the right owner in place I would not blame him, or hold it against him. at all as he would not want to endure another season like this would he…
