I am not going to say that we are at ‘Judgement Day’, as we seem to have had more judgement days than I have hot dinners in recent years!

So, we will just leave it at ‘today (or tomorrow) is the day’…

As we all know the HMRC appeal against the CVA approval will be heard today at the high court, we are in session at 10.30am I believe.

It is ‘thought’ that the outcome of this appeal, be it in Pompey’s or the taxman’s favour, will ‘probably’ not be known until tomorrow – so we ‘look’ as though we will face another anxious 24-hours or so…

Although a 24-hours that will pretty much determine if we are at ‘make’ or ‘breaking’ point as a club – clearly you do not need me to spell out the consequences of a successful appeal from HMRC, although should this appeal fail, whilst Pompey will be FAR from out of the wood we will take a seriously positive step in the right direction to salvation, finally!

So, all that remains for us to do is ‘keep our fingers crossed’, ‘touch wood’ and all that for the next 24-hours, or so…
