With the signing of Peter Crouch fans may be asking about players who have rejoined Pompey after being sold or released.

Well since the war the following players fit the bill. I have not included those who originally came on loan and then signed later.
In fact that is a whole team of eleven. Quite a number of them are Pompey legends and I have written about them in the Sunday Toast or other specials. With Crouch, now half of them are strikers.
Crouch will I think become the first player to be resigned at a greater cost than he was sold for (only a mere £5-6 million). It is difficult to check because fees are not often disclosed, as indeed the Crouch fee has not.
One last point of note Peter Crouch scored after only eight minutes of his debut at Wolves, can he do the same at Stamford Bridge on August 16th or whenever it is played.
Welcome back Peter!
And yes before you all ask Toast will be back soon, possibly before the Charity Shield. Got any topics or players you would like covered in this ever popular series send eastneydave a PM or e-mail pompeyrug.
