The end-game cometh

An article from powered_by_pies, posted in the forum, looking at the situation with PFC as he currently sees it! To be honest with you it is pretty much as I do too – read on for more.

This may be a little premature of me, considering there’s still around three hours of the transfer window left to go, but it looks like early signs are promising.

Ward, whilst apparently being pushed and shoved by AA into accepting a deal to take him to Ipswich, is digging his heels in and is refusing to go. Jewell seems to have given up hope of getting Pearce, and although he apparently is still interested in trying to prize Hendo from us, the lad himself has categorically stated he doesn’t want to leave.

In a similar mold to Amy Winehouse, ‘They tried to make them go to Ipswich, but they said no, no, no….’

So what does this mean for us? Put simply, regardless of what’s going on behind the scenes in what I can only imagine is a biblical power-struggle between Android and Lampitt for control of the transfers, PFC have laid their stall out and shown Chainrai its’ hand. And it turns out it could end up being the game-winning hand after all.

There are two ways, providing the current result stays the same after 11PM and no-one has left the club, that things will pan out between now and D-day number 259 for PFC.

One, the club have signed their own death warrent, and it is now merely a case of ‘enjoy the ride up to the 20th, then AFC me up’. No skin off the players’ noses. They become creditors in the liquidator’s eyes and will eventually re-coup at least a portion of wages currently not paid, whilst they can also go to a new club and sign-up for a hefty fee. Chainrai loses a whole stack of money, and if the council can be co-erced to do so, a CPO can be made on the land that FP is built on for a phoenix club.

Two, the club finds a new owner, and by this, I don’t mean another of Chainrai’s puppets claiming not to know who he is. From what I know, the FL have been watching this situation like hawks, and had already made the decision to fail Cala on the FAPPT before he took it – hence why he then came out and made claims that he could own the club another way, which, it appears, has not come to fruition. Thank god.

Either way, the end-game looks to finally be here. A major problem the club has had for over a year is that they’ve had Chainrai, in one capacity or another, holding their bollox and squeezing them for all it’s worth. Well, now the club has grabbed Chainrai’s bollox, and is staring right into his eyes.

His un-realistic valuation for the club has been driven down by the WUP, but now it seems few – if any – players are leaving the club, potential owners can now make final offers based on what they know they’ll get for their money. Chainrai would be a fool not to accept any offer that comes his way. The only alternative for him now is he winds up either having to pump more money into the club, reducing the chances of him seeing it returned to him, or simply left with a bit of land and a run-down old football stadium which will take years for him to flip into property land – if he manages it at all.

So, over to you, Balram Chainrai.

Time to see what cards you’ve been holding all along.
