When you are out of luck, you usually see this go against you more often than not don’t you?

Well Dave Nugent now faces the prospect of being sidelined for a while with it looking like he might need an operation on a hernia injury.

After picking up the injury against Plymouth at the weekend he will now fly to Germany tomorrow to see the same specialist that has treated Michael Owen in the past, and if needed will undergo surgery later in the week.

Nugent might not have exactly covered himself in glory recently when he has got the chance so many of us had hoped he would, but personally I think that he has done ok and a run of games has benefited him and he was getting better.

This is now another set-back in his career with us, but hopefully it will make him even more determined to be a success here – see I am not giving up on the fella!
