It has been a busy old day with ‘statements’ issued on The Pompey Site today, but another one issued has played down the ‘reports’ that Peter Storrie had resigned, or intended to resign – which to be fair seemed to originate from what some fans we ‘said’ to have been told…

This statement said: ‘contrary to some media reports, Portsmouth Football Club can confirm that Peter Storrie has not quit his post as chief executive and will be in attendance at tomorrow’s match against Everton at Fratton Park.’

Which also saw Storrie add: ‘I am still here and my focus, along with everyone at the football club, is on tomorrow’s match against Everton.

‘This club is not about any one individual and it’s imperative that everyone here concentrates our efforts on supporting Paul Hart and the team tomorrow.

‘This is a very big game for us and more than ever we need the support of our great fans to help us through this difficult time.’

Can we get back to being able to support the club and the team again without all the off the field bull****, none of which is helping anyone! Although I would say that the sooner we can get some proper answers from those at the top and the power struggles end the better!

Lets just hope that the full support is for the team tomorrow and our energies are channelled into doing this, not supporting or anti-supporting Storrie, SAF or Paul Hart for that matter, lets support the club first and foremost eh as this support could make a hell of a difference as it has in the past…
