Season tickets holders for the 2008/09 season will once again have priority when it comes to getting tickets for our next visit to Wembley – the community shield against Manyoo in August.

These are the details, as confirmed on the Pompey Site

==========

WEMBLEY: SEASON TICKET HOLDERS FIRST

Pompey season ticket holders will get priority for Community Shield tickets.

The Blues face Manchester United at Wembley on Sunday, August 10, and season ticket holders will get the first chance to buy seats.

Further ticket information about the game between the FA Cup winners and Premier League champions is not expected until next month, following a meeting between the clubs, Wembley and the FA.

The game will be Pompey’s third at Wembley in 128 days following wins over West Brom in the FA Cup semi-final and Cardiff in the FA Cup final.

Pompey have around 1,800 season tickets left for 2008/9, which are on general sale for the rest of this week.

More than 14,000 season tickets have already been sold, an increase on 2008/9, when Pompey’s eighth-placed finish was their best in the Premier League.

There are no season tickets available in the Milton end, while the only seats on sale in the Family Enclosure and C section of the south stand are restricted view.

But seats are available in all other parts of Fratton Park.

Although they can be purchased over the phone, supporters are strongly recommended to buy their season tickets in person from the club’s ticket office in Anson Road.

Supporters who come to the ticket office between 9.30am and 4.30pm will have the option of being shown their chosen seat in the ground.

Pompey ticket office manager Elaine Giles said: “We’ve already sold more season tickets than last season, which is excellent.

“We don’t have any detailed ticket information at all for the Community Shield against Manchester United on August 10.

“But what I can say is that anyone with a season ticket for 2008/9 will get priority when it comes to tickets for that game.”

The club is pleased to inform supporters that the successful five-month, interest-free scheme to spread the cost of a season ticket will remain available.

Supporters pay a reservation fee of £20 and then the rest of the cost of the season ticket in five equal payments.

When coming to buy their season tickets, fans should complete a finance application form, available from the ticket office.

More than 1,800 fans have already taken advantage of finance schemes, run by PFC Financial Services, to help pay for their 2008/9 season tickets.

Perry Scott, General Manager of PFC Financial Services, said: “The feedback received has been particularly welcome as fans have told us these schemes have been a real help in these times of increased living costs.”

Season tickets sales will be suspended after Friday while the club’s ticket system is updated. They are expected to go back on sale later this month.

Supporters are reminded that the ticket office is shut at weekends during the close season.
