Graham Paddon died suddenly yesterday at his home in Norfolk, he was 57.

He will be remembered by the football community as a stylish midfield player with Norwich City (twice) and West Ham United.

He will be remembered by Pompey fans as an assistant to Alan Ball when we were promoted in 1987 and after a spell at Stoke City as Jim Smith’s number two during the Cup run of 1992 and playoff heartache of 1993. He was sacked with Smith in 1995.

He leaves behind his partner Sandra, and children Guy, Jenny and Heather.
