Revived Playoff Hopes?

An article from jsander48 asking if we ‘could’, or ‘should’ start looking at a play-off place again after back-to-back wins – read on for more.

After two impressive victories against Coventry and Burnley it is fairly safe to say that we are on quite a streak considering we are currently 16th, the place we finished last year.

So are playoffs still a realistic goal? Yes. Anything can happen in the Championship, despite sitting 10 places and 9 points from the playoffs it’s totally possible.

We are less than halfway into the season, and who says it’s impossible to finish first or for Southampton to get relegated? Its too early in the season to predict who will finish where, except of course we know Coventry will get relegated!

It might be too over confident to say we have a shot at Premier League but its good to be optimistic, for good outcomes come from the right attitude. We just have to get the right result and not play the same game we did against Watford, and take it one game at a time.

We could also look at it the other way, are we a team that’s not worthy of Championship status? I personally think we are totally capable of finishing mid-table and it would an insult to the fans if we came up short and got relegated.

Also when the transfer window comes the whole league could change! I’m not expecting any big signings next transfer window, if we even can get an owner by that time! As for now lets focus on winning that South Coast Derby!
