Arsenal 2-1 Bolton
Bolton threatened Arsenal with a second successive home defeat after Nicolas Anelka (11) put then ahead but Tomas Rosicky (31) equalised before the break with Cesc Fabregas (45) scoring the winner just after it.

Man City 0-0 Liverpool
City again failed to score at home but Liverpool failed to break them down also so the game ended 0-0.

Middlesbrough 1-3 Aston Villa
Fabio Rochemback (13) put Boro ahead after his free kick squirmed its way through Thomas Sorensen. Craig Gardner (45) brought our next opponent Villa level before two quick goals from Luke Moore (70), Stilian Petrov (77) secured another victory.

Reading 1-0 Fulham
Stephen Hunt (15) scored the only goal as Fulham’s relegation fears were worsened after defeat in Lawrie Sanchez’s first game in charge.

Sheff Utd 3-0 West Ham
A relegation six pointer saw Sheff Utd come out victorious thanks to Michael Tonge (39), Phil Jagielka (68) and a fine solo goal from Jonathan Stead (78). West Ham are all but down now.

Watford 4-1 Man Utd
Wayne Rooney (7) gave United an early lead in the LIVE BBC match, before the man who ran Pompey ragged last week, Hameur Bouazza (26) equalised. Cristiano Ronaldo (28) soon resorted the lead before further goals from Rooney (66) again and Kieran Richardson (82) booked a place in the final.

Everton 2-1 Charlton
Joleon Lescott (81) looked like he had won the game for Everton but Darren Bent (89) scored a dramatic late equaliser. James McFadden (90) scored an even more dramatic injury time winner.

Wigan 3-3 Tottenham
Sunday afternoon’s first LIVE SKY Sports offering saw a cracker. Emile Heskey (2) had Wigan ahead, Dimitar Berbatov (4) soon levelled. Leighton Baines (30) again had Wigan ahead but Spurs swiftly responded through Robbie Keane (35) from the spot. For a third time Wigan went ahead through Kilbane (60) but once again Spurs equalised quickly through Keane’s (68) second.

Blackburn 1-2 Chelsea
Frank Lampard (16) gave Chelsea an early lead in the second LIVE SKY Sports offering on Sunday. A spirited fight back saw Blackburn level through former Pompey loanee Jason Roberts (64) but Chelsea won it in extra-time through Michael Ballack’s (109) effort.
