Chelsea v Middlesbrough, 15:00
Wayne Bridge and Michael Ballack (thigh) need fitness tests. John Terry should return to the side after being on the bench last week. Khalid Boulahrouz (knee) and Arjen Robben (ankle) could return.

Mark Viduka (calf) is doubtful while Lee Cattermole (hamstring) is out. Mark Schwarzer should return and Dong Gook Lee could make his debut.

Everton v Blackburn, 15:00
Leon Osman (suspension) is out but former Pompey loanee Manuel Fernandes could make his debut.

Morten Gamst Pedersen (hamstring) will miss out while Stephen Warnock is suspended but Andy Todd (illness) is now available.

Man Utd v Charlton, 15:00
Wayne Rooney (hip) is back but Edwin van der Sar (broken nose) and John O’Shea are out, while Michael Carrick and Cristiano Ronaldo are doubtful.

Darren Bent is still out along with Luke Young, Herman Hreidarsson, Andy Reid and Talal El Karkouri. Alexandre Song and Madjid Bougherra however are available to make debuts.

Newcastle v Liverpool, 15:00
Celestine Babayaro (hamstring) is in line for a long awaited return but Stephen Carr (thigh) is out along with Emre, Shay Given, Peter Ramage, Michael Owen, Shola Ameobi, Craig Moore and Charles N’Zogbia.

Steven Gerrard should be OK to feature despite a minor injury problem. Xabi Alonso (suspension) is out but Mohamed Sissoko could return.

Reading v Aston Villa, 12:45
Shane Long (ankle) is doubtful but Kevin Doyle could return to the squad. James Harper (foot) should start.

Wilfred Bouma (ankle) is doubtful after being injured playing for Holland but Gabriel Agbonlahor (calf) should be alright and Luke Moore (shoulder) is back in the squad.

Sheff Utd v Tottenham, 15:00
Rob Kozluk needs a fitness test but Christian Nade (virus) is a doubtful. Keith Gillespie (suspension), Matt Kilgallon and Luton Shelton are out.

Jermaine Jenas and Teemu Tainio (ankle) should return along with Aaron Lennon (stomach) and Mido (suspension) but Hossam Ghaly (suspension) is out.

West Ham v Watford, 15:00
Lucas Neill (ankle ligaments) and Anton Ferdinand (groin) could return but Matthew Upson (calf) will be out for a few weeks. Bobby Zamora, Kepa Blanco, Marlon Harewood and Carlos Tevez are all in the running for two forward spots.

Clarke Carlisle (thigh) is back from a long term injury but won’t play a part but Danny Shittu despite an ankle problem should be OK.

Arsenal v Wigan, 16:00
Abou Diaby and Julio Baptista return but Alexander Hleb, William Gallas, Freddie Ljungberg and Emmanuel Eboue remain sidelined. Philippe Senderos (suspension) is also out so Johan Djourou should stand in.

Emile Heskey and Leighton Baines (both calf) are available as is Chris Kirkland (shoulder) despite missing the midweek England game.

Bolton v Fulham, 13:30
Kevin Davies (ankle) is out but former Pompey midfielder David Thompson is looking for a debut after leaving Fratton Park for Bolton on deadline day.

Carlos Bocanegra is suspended and Ian Pearce (leg) is out along with Antti Niemi (back) and Claus Jensen (virus). Former Pompey star Alexei Smarting should be on the bench.
