Pompey’s XI At Bradford – Stick Or Twist?

|

The Pompey season continued with a great point against Plymouth on Saturday.

We, in my opinion, couldn’t really afford to lose at Home Park, so to leave the west country with a point was a very good point. The only disappointment being we couldn’t take the late chances, which would have brought a huge three points.

Hey ho, that game is gone so we move forward and go again against Bradford on Tuesday. A point at Plymouth becomes a great one if the Blues win at Valley Parade.

Kenny Jackett opted to start with this XI at Home Park.

McGee
Thompson
Clarke
Whatmough
Donohue
O’Keefe (Ronan 58′)
Lowe
Evans
Close
Naismith
Pitman

Will changes be made? Should Jackett make them if he isn’t forced into doing so?

Again, having sat out Plymouth, Anton Walkes will again miss this game on Tuesday due to injury. Stuart O’Keefe came in for his first start of 2018, but he was taken off ahead of the hour when Wolves loanee Conor Ronan was introduced.

It is my understanding, I could have missed something, Jackett doesn’t, at this point, need to make any enforced changes. I’d personally like to see Ronan come back into the side to offer a little more creativity from midfield, but the boss might have other ideas and decide to stick and not twist, opting to bring on a creative influence as the evening unfolds?
