‘Pompey’s long-term home should remain Fratton, but a modernised and improved 30-45,000 seater one’, not my vote, yours – although these findings from BarneyArmy’s poll are thoughts that I agree with to be honest…

Yep I know Fratton is aging and needs to be updated, many feel – myself included until recently – that this would mean we had to move as modernising just was not possible, but with it ‘said’ we can do this I am all for it.

Lets just do it if we are though…

For me Fratton is still ideally placed and seems to have most things around it to help support the ability, ‘fairly easily’ to get to it – I know it can be congested and could get worse if capacity was increased but you work around that I guess – so if we stayed there I would not be disappointed at all.

‘They’ say we can increase capacity, and we are going to – but they say a lot of things! So, why not increase and say as we ‘could’ still hold the world cup where we are if England wins the bid, Portsmouth is selected as a host city and we actually do see development happen!

In light of the lack of movement stadium wise for donkies years, despite all the talk, and the most recent damning reports coming out on exactly what will be put into the club God only knows what will happen, all in all it would not surprise me to see Fratton remain as it is for years to come, and if it proved the case so be it…

  • What the poll asked – Where should Pompey’s (LONG TERM) Home be?

  • How you voted – Fratton – Modernised & improved (30-45,000 for WC) 63%, Horsea Island – inc. scope for WC (40,000) 24%, Fratton – the current upgrade plan (32,000) 9%, Don’t care just keep it at Fratton (circa 30,000) 4%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys…
