Pompey will stay up!


‘With the current squad that Pompey have, plus a player or two, we will stay up because there are worse teams than us’, not my vote, yours – although these findings from pompeyrug’s poll are thoughts that I agree with…

We clearly need something more in the attacking end of the pitch, be that a player to play alongside Freddy P regularly in a 4-4-2 or better quality wide players that will link up with the striker and create chances in a 4-5-1.

The squad is very thin, that much is obvious, but with luck with injuries and/or suspensions we still have enough quality, and quality that ‘should’ be better than at least 3 other sides – bearing in mind 17th would be enough!
