Could be a farewell to all things Premiership tomorrow, if we lose and others win, that’s it, goodbye and farewell and thanks for the memories, although I do feel the Premiership will be glad to see the back of us at last!!
All the talk of this weekend being the final cutain puzzles me somewhat, Pompey haven’t had a fighting chance since the start of the season, our squad was torn apart in the summer, once Kranjcar and Distin departed, that was it, Begovic shone brightly along with Kaboul, both they had to depart also.
If anyone has a good game now, they will be next out the door, Pompey have been hamstrung since the season kicked off, it’s miracle we made it to April.
If you have a blue shirt, wear it tomorrow, the way things are going with injuries you may well be dragged out the crowd.
Pompey have lost Hermann and Webber for the season now, Belhadj has joined his mate Yebda on the sick list, while Quincy has cut short his whistle stop visit by flying off to Qatar.
O’Hara is at least available again after missing last week’s visit to his parent club, while Tommy Smith may wear a Batman mask in the hope of playing. The youth squad is making its way onto the bench now, so we may get a sighting of Ward, Ritchie and the like before the season is out.
He was probably our brightest player at White Hart Lane, in a more advanced role he looks more of a threat, if we are lucky we may be able to rustle up enough defenders to keep him on the wing!
Blackburn are the opposite of Pompey, safety is virtually assured now, while their squad is almost injury free, even Nelsen and Robinson are back in contention.
Pompey chased him hard at the start of the seaon but it fell through financially (surprise) he took a while to settle but has found his feet with 7 goals and looks the part now.
Pompey generally share a few results with Blackburn, our last win at home ended a series of 2 goal leads being thrown away, funnily enough though, all 3 scorers have departed!

Have Pompey got a last hurrah? Or is it all over? stick you prediction here.
