bluedr answers some questions for Vital Pompey as we focus on the members over the summer months.

I know it was a miserable season, overall, and reflecting on parts of it will be the last thing you want to do but we had to take one for the team!
So, sum up the 2009/10 season in 3 words?
Disappointing, Long, Uncomfortable.

What was your season highlight?
Got to have been the FA Cup run, whilst beating that lot down the road was superb going to Wembley expecting us to be embarrassed and watching Arry’s face in the semi will live long in the memory.

12-months ago things were meant to be looking ‘a lot brighter’ with SAF taking over, we all know this panned out! Charlatans come and gone and we are where we are now. But what are your hopes for our future?
A new owner who is a football person and for Pompey to get back to being known as a Football Team. Any new owner needs to bring honesty and integrity back to FP and I hope the appointment of Lampitt is a step in the right direction.

Lets be honest, not much, if anything will come through the Fratton gates player wise this summer. Even so, who, realistically, would you like us to sign this summer? Taking into account we will spend little, or no money, assuming we are not under a continued transfer embargo anyway…
This very much depends on who leaves but for me we need players across the team.

Several will go for sure, but who would be the player that you would choose to sell if you could anyway, and why?
Probably Boateng as he could command a decent fee and not sure he has the right attitude I’d like to see in a professional footballer. Off the pitch it would have to be Storrie who I think has played the club for much too long…………..

And the player that you would love us to keep at Fratton Towers if we could, and why?
Gotta be Jamo, although he is getting on a bit you cannot buy that type of experience.

What are you hoping for from Pompey in the 2010/11 season?
A season of consolidation with foundations being built off the pitch and a team that can survive in the Championship being watched on it.

How many Pompey games do you expect to attend?
As I now live in the Midlands there`s quite a few away games that are close by so probably about 10!

Finally, as it is a world cup summer how do you think England will do?
Having followed England around the world during the qualifying campaign I’d like to think my cost and passion would be rewarded by winning the trophy, in truth I expect us to make the Quarters Finals at best.

Feel free to add anything else you would like to here?
No matter who owns or runs the club the lifeblood are the supporters and as Pompey Fans we should be proud and loud for our club.
