‘Kevin-Prince Boateng was the man of the match against Spurs’, not my vote, yours – although these findings from pompeyrug’s poll are thoughts that I do not necessarily agree with to be honest…

Boateng has clearly made quite an impression since his arrival at Pompey, and is often standing out – his goal probably worked in his favour for many, although for me I thought Tommy Smith had another fantastic game.

I still think that Nadir Belhadj’s arrival was the right call but Smith being taken off was the wrong one and maybe it would have made the difference had we left him no – but there you go…

Quite how Aruna Dindane managed to secure 12% of the votes is anyone’s guess though, that said from a Spurs point of view he would have been the man of the match as he missed a couple of sitters!

All in all though, the overall man of the match was Heurelho Gomes without a doubt as he made at least a couple, what I would say were world-class saves, added to a few others really good ones – his 1st half one that flicked up off Smith from Younes Kaboul’s free kick was just incredible, and Spurs are being linked with David James because?

  • What the poll asked – Man of the match against Spurs?

  • How you voted – Boateng 59%, Smith (63) 21%, Dindane 12%, James 7%, Sub – Utaka (90) 1%, Yebda 0%, Wilson 0%, Kaboul 0%, Finnan (90) 0%, Ben-Haim 0%, Mokoena (78) 0%, Brown 0%, Sub – Piquionne (63) 0%, Sub – Belhadj (78) 0%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys…
