If Pompey did not really have any money to spend towards the end of the summer transfer window, the suggestion that we would come January does not seem that likely – and even though the transfer window is not open again for a few months this is not stopping us from being linked with players…
The player of ‘apparent interest’ to Pompey is Lens midfielder Razak Boukari. He is 20 I believe and a French u21 international, who is said to prefer a move to the premier league over French rivals Nice or Strasbourg – hence links to Pompey I guess!
The ‘reports’ are that he is available for ‘just’ £2m.
To be honest I do not know enough about him to comment, so I could not say if he would even be worth picking up – going on the assumption that these ‘rumours’ are true.
But given the problems we can sometimes have in midfield then maybe he would be worth a punt, then again we have to pay wages on top of that fee so if we could not afford a free agent, Stephan Appiah, because of his wage demands could we afford a fee and then wages on top? Then again, maybe there is more than meets the eye with the fact that the Ghanaian is still without a club? For no one to have picked him up yet seems slightly odd…
Anyway, back to Boukari I had a look on t’internet but could not really find much, the best I could manage was this clip from a Lens game – he scores the 1st goal.
Remember though, clips on t’internet can sometimes be misleading – as we have found out…
Anyone know much about Boukari – if so, and lets just say we did have the money, would he be worth the punt?
PLAY UP POMPEY!
