Pompey came out of the hat as the last pairing once more, this time a home draw awaited us, Luther Blisset doing the honours, Chelsea were kept away from us, as were Spurs much to no doubt Jamie O’Hara’s delight.

We maybe on the verge of imploding as a premiership club, but our love affair with the FA cup goes on, could a trip to the arch really be within our grasp once more?
