Pompey have cut the ticket prices for the FA cup 4th round game with Plymouth, which is taking place at Fratton Park on Saturday 26th January – and what is more it is a 3pm kick off too!

Tickets will cost £5 for kids, £15 for seniors and £25 for adults – so a fair bit cheaper than usual and this makes the fact that I will be going – along with plymouth graham, Geoff, my brother and possibly my sister-in-law – all the more enjoyable as we can also save a few quid…

Plymouth have taken up their full allocation of 3,200 tickets in the Milton End, so no home fans – should we have wished – can sit in that end for the ‘battle of the Ports’.

It is almost 10 years since we last faced Plymouth in a competitive game – although we have regularly toured the West Country during pre season since – when we beat them 6-3 on aggregate over 2 legs in the league cup in the 1998/99 season.

I remember the 1st leg at Home Park when we won 3-1 as I was there with a visiting cousin and my sister, this is when I got introduced to some members of the south west supporters club, then for the next couple of years or so – while I could afford it – never looked back, going to most games home and away.

I think Nikos Kyzeridis scored that night – I am certain he at least played. He was a fella that came with a big reputation but he did not live up to it…
