Stilian Petrov moved even closer to becoming a Pompey player today after his agent claimed he doesn`t care about Celtic anymore.
‘Stilian is becoming increasingly frustrated at Celtic and I will be coming up to see him and try to calm him down,’ Petrov’s agent Tony McGill told the Daily Record.
‘His wife and family have not come back to Scotland with him, they are still in Bulgaria so he’s finding it very difficult.
‘Celtic must be hoping he changes his mind about leaving but he is more determined than ever.
‘He is back for pre-season training because he is a professional. He is there in body but not in mind.
‘Stilian would like the opportunity to speak to Portsmouth but I’ve told him that he can’t, which is hard for him to understand.
‘I can understand his frustrations but I have been in this situation before and I have never known a manager to keep an unhappy player.
‘No disrespect to Celtic but he wants to play in The Premiership and he can’t wait to get there.’
