It is being ‘reported’ that Noe Pamarot has rejected the chance of moving to Hull as he wants to stay with Pompey and fight for a 1st team place.

Hull are said to have been lining up a £2.6m offer for the Frenchman – who I believe is now in the final year of his contract – but in a refreshing stance in the modern game despite the fact that he is not getting any assurance from Harry Redknapp over his future he wants to stay a battle for a place… he will probably be sold next week then!

I would gladly see us keep him to be honest. I was not a fan of his when we first had him, nor was I keen when he returned a few years back, but he has grown on me and is now a player that we know can come in and do the job asked of him. His versatility also makes him a very worthwhile player to have in our squad.

He might have even more of a fight on his hands though should the ‘reports’ from The Quay be confirmed – the radio station is claiming that an offer has been put in for Spurs defender, and long term transfer target Younes Kaboul – although it is also said that Sunderland want him, and he will hold talks with them today…
