From the Ed

Happy birthday to Frederick Brown, Gerry Francis, Clive Green, Kevin Russell, Shaun Derry, Aaron Cook, Steve Lovell, Jason Pearce, Jonathan Hogg, Frankie Sutherland and Adam May – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

I’ve literally heard of all of these, bar Brown as he was before my time. The vast majority of them I also saw play for Pompey with May still – all being well – very well part of a bright future at Fratton Park.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 10
Won – 3
Drawn -2
Lost – 5

As we’ve only played twice since 1980 it isn’t surprising I come up empty from a pretty poor day results wise, so no games for me today.

What are your memories of Brown – obviously too soon, Francis, Green, Russell, Derry, Cook, Lovell, Pearce, Hogg, Sutherland and/or May from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?

PLAY UP POMPEY
