Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

4/5/1988: Ryan Taylor

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Ryan Taylor – the Pompey player from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Taylor was perhaps a little hard done by at times when we had, which is because he had the misfortune of resembling a certain Dave Kitson, who hardly a fans’ favourite. Taylor’s main problem, he didn’t score enough quite simply.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 12
Won – 5
Drawn – 4
Lost – 3

It is well over a decade since we played the last of our games on this day, but it’s not been a bad one as we’ve won more than anything else.

I remember quite a few of these, but haven’t taken in a game myself.

What are your memories of Taylor from his Pompey days? Also, have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories of them too?
