Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

30/4/1911 Lew Morgan

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Lew Morgan – the Pompey player from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Obviously, being born in 1911 Morgan was before my time. Admittedly I can’t claim to know anything about him either.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 17
Won – 9
Drawn – 0
Lost – 8

Quite literally Pompey either win or lose on this day as there’s never been a draw with the victories slightly in our favour.

I do recall a fair few, thinking the most recent at Hartlepool made certain of a play-off spot, but automatic hopes ended when I was in France in 2016. However, it’s a blank day for me as far as attending games goes.

What are your memories of Morgan – I would think too early for anyone to be honest? – from his Pompey days? Also, have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories of them too?
