Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

2/3/1925: Harry Lunn
2/3/1978: Giannis Skopelitis

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Harry Lunn and Giannis Skopelitis – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Lunn was well before my time and not really known to me but I do recall Skopelitis from his brief – and ultimately – unsuccessful spell.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 13
Won – 4
Drawn – 3
Lost – 6

Only the one for me but still one of my all time favourite away trips despite a defeat at Sunderland in 1999 for a midweek game. However, WHAT a trip with an overnight kip in one of late – and great – Ken Malley’s clapped out old vans with several of the Devon Blues involved.

What are your memories Lunn – probably too early for anyone – and/or Skopelitis from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
