Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

28/3/1953: Steve Middleton
28/3/1974: Andy Thomson

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Steve Middleton and Andy Thomson – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

I cannot recall Middleton – he would have been before my time watching regularly anyway – but do remember Thomson pretty well, my cousin couldn’t stand him.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 14
Won – 3
Drawn – 4
Lost – 7

Another poor day with defeats the usual order of the day, which is one I draw a blank on as I recall some games but cannot say I have been in attendance for any.

What are your memories of Middleton and/or Thomson from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
