Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

26/4/1988 Gareth Evans

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Gareth Evans – the Pompey player from the Blues’ past born on this day.

I think I can say we all know Evans seen as he’s still very much a Pompey player. We’d also agree, on the whole I reckon, he’s been a good player for us, so we’ll be glad his career will continue at Fratton Park for another season or so.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 12
Won – 2
Drawn – 4
Lost – 6

A miserable day given the face we’ve only won the two games, losing 50% of the rest.

Recall the two most recent games, but cannot claim to have been at either so it’s another blank day for me.

What are your memories of Evans from his Pompey days? Also, have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories of them too?
