Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

24/2/1950: Phil Roberts
24/2/1965: Lloyd McGrath

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Phil Roberts and Lloyd McGrath – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Roberts was before my time and although I didn’t see much of McGrath do recall him well enough, probably more so from his time with others before though to be honest.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 12
Won – 3
Drawn – 3
Lost – 6

Didn’t – not sure why – make the most recent win over Tranmere at Fratton Park in 2015 so it’s a blank day for me, but I do recall a fair few games though.

What are your memories Roberts and/or McGrath from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?

PLAY UP POMPEY
