Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

23/3/1925: Jasper Yeuell
23/3/1975: Andy Turner
23/3/1983: Jerome Thomas

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Jasper Yeuell, Andy Turner and Jerome Thomas – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Yeuell was well before my time but I do recall Turner, I didn’t see too much of him though as I wasn’t regularly attending games when we signed the former Tottenham winger.

I remember Thomas being an ‘odd’ signing at the time but he didn’t really do much for Pompey during his time with the Blues, mainly due to injury to be fair.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 13
Won – 7
Drawn – 3
Lost – 3

A good day with over half of the games won. There have not been too many games played in recent years but the win at Fratton Park against Coventry is one I can claim from 2013.

What are your memories Yeuell – he would have come too soon for anyone I would think, Turner and/or Thomas from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?

PLAY UP POMPEY
