22/2/1990: Marko Futacs
Happy birthday to Edward Smith, Shaka Hislop, David Norris and Marko Futacs – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.
Smith was not only before my time but also before the time of anyone reading. However, I recall Hislop, Norris and Futacs pretty well and fondly.
Always liked Shaka as a goalkeeper before he joined Pompey and continued to like him from that point on, as for Norris he will always be a hero for ‘that goal’ against the Saints.
I thought Futacs did ok but perhaps left a little too soon? Didn’t really work out for him at Leicester and no idea where he is now?
