Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

21/11/1962: Warren Neill
21/11/1985: Michael Poke
21/11/1994: Josh Passley

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Warren Neill, Michael Poke and Josh Passley – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Neill is someone I recall well, very well in fact even if I didn’t see too much of him as a Pompey player.

Poke didn’t get his chance during his time as our backup goalkeeper. Meanwhile, Passley came in on loan from Fulham and had his moments but not a player I have up with my most memorable players I recall to be honest.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 15
Won – 4
Drawn – 5
Lost – 6

With only one played in nearly 20 years since my games are limited. However, I can claim one.

I was at the Luke Nightingale debut game when John Aloisi, who was the main man for goals at the time, had to go off. Enter a local lad who had been scoring goals for fun at other levels and what a debut to have – a brace off the bench in a win over West Brom at Fratton Park in 1998.

What are your memories of Neill, Poke and/or Passley from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
