Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

20/2/1897: James Kennedy
20/2/1920: Albert Juliussen
20/2/1950: Peter Marinello
20/2/1953: David Kemp

From the Ed

Happy birthday to James Kennedy, Albert Juliussen, Peter Marinello and David Kemp – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Both Kennedy and Juliussen were well before my time and that of anyone else in fact I would think. Marinello and Kemp were also before my time watching Pompey but I know of their careers in the game – with the Blues and otherwise – well.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 15
Won – 5
Drawn – 6
Lost – 4

I’ve got two on this day including the defeat at Fratton Park against Stoke in 2010 and the other being one of my all time favourites memories.

Swindon away in 1999 was a cracking draw at the County Ground. Fans at both ends behind the goals that saw the late Aaron Flahavan having to go off injured to be replaced by Russell Perrett in goal, we 3-1 down at one stage before the second half fightback.

We also met Milan Mandaric and the late, great Alan Ball at a Swindon hotel as part of the South West Supporters Club ahead of the game.

What are your memories of Kennedy, Juliussen – both too early for anyway, Marinello and/or Kemp from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
