Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

1/3/1943: Bobby Kellard
1/3/1973: Tom Curtis
1/3/1980: Djimi Traore

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Bobby Kellard, Tom Curtis and Djimi Traore – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Kellard was before my time but I know of the name. However, I do recall Curtis and Traore – both more recognisable from better spells with other clubs to be honest – well enough. Wouldn’t say recall them ‘overly fondly’ mind, Traore especially.

Played – 13
Won – 3
Drawn – 5
Lost – 5

I can claim the most recent games as I was at the draw with Exeter at St James Park in 2016. I was at the win – also a midweek game – over Scunthorpe at Fratton Park in 2010.

What are your memories Kellard, Curtis and/or Traore from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
