Happy birthday to Ernest Thompson, James Mackie, Dave Watson, William Lewry, Archibald Young, Alex Stenhouse, Brian Snowdon, Luke Rodgers and Kieran Djilali – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.
Thompson, Mackie, Watson, Lewry, Young, Stenhouse and Snowdon were all well before my time – most way, way too early for me and not even known by name.
However, I recall both Rodgers and Djilali from brief spells with Pompey a few years back – Djilali’s even briefer than Rodgers’ who did score a few goals for the Blues.
Now onto the games previously played.

I do remember plenty of the previous games played – and it’s a traditional game to play – but I can claim only the one from 2007 at Fratton Park when we drew with Spurs.
