Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

1/4/1898: George Haslam
1/4/1964: Ian Baird

From the Ed

Happy birthday to George Haslam and Ian Baird – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Clearly Haslam was before my time and as much as I know of Baird I didn’t get to see him in action for Pompey.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 19
Won – 10
Drawn – 4
Lost – 5

Very positive day for us as over 50% of the games played have been won. However, I cannot claim too many as have only managed the win over Tranmere at Fratton Park from 2013.

What are your memories of Haslam – obviously too early for anyone – and Baird from their Pompey day? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
