Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day…

18/3/1937: Harry Middleton
18/3/1984: Gary Roberts

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Harry Middleton and Gary Roberts – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Middleton was well before my time but I think it safe to say we all know Roberts! I suspect he’ll return to the starting XI today so a birthday performance would be nice.

Now onto the games previously played ahead of the trip to Stevenage later.

Played – 13
Won – 5
Drawn – 4
Lost – 4

Not really too much in it but from the 13 games so far Pompey have managed 5 wins to 4 draws and defeats – lets hope it’ll be win no.6 or at least draw 5 this afternoon!

Remember that West Ham game over a decade ago but wasn’t at it. But I can claim the 3-1 win against Crewe at Gresty Road back in 2000. I’ll not be at Stevenage later today though.

What are your memories Middleton – probably too early I would think – and/or Roberts from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
