Happy birthday to Jimmy McIlwraith – the Pompey player from the Blues’ past born on this day.
McIlwraith was before my time and not really known to me either, to be honest.
Now onto the games previously played.

Draws are the most common outcome on this day, just. However, with plenty more wins than defeats, it does make it a good day.
I’ve only managed the one today, the win over Crystal Palace at Fratton Park in 2012, which was also the most recent game played. I do recall the Charlton defeat and Manchester United victory well.
