Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

14/9/1962: George Lawrence
14/9/1973: Linvoy Primus
14/9/1992: Marc McNulty

From the Ed

Happy birthday to George Lawrence, Linvoy Primus and Marc McNulty – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Lawrence is one that I only really know about by name and what others told me as I cannot recall actually seeing him play for Pompey?

However, despite only having a short time with the club I do recall McNulty well and, on the whole; I enjoyed watching him – definitely from the first half of his loan from Sheffield United anyway.

(Sir) Linvoy Primus needs no introduction, well at least he shouldn’t. A true Blues legend – that term isn’t used loosely with Linvoy – that remains to this day one of my all-time favourite footballers and a great man too.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 18
Won – 4
Drawn – 4
Lost – 10

Another poor return for Pompey today as 10 of the 18 have been lost – just the one game for me too.

I’ve been to Selhurst Park a good few times now to see Pompey face Crystal Palace and cannot recall a win? The one game I made was the game at Palace in 2010 with this, of course, a defeat.

What are your memories of Lawrence, Primus and/or McNulty from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?

PLAY UP POMPEY
