14/4/1979: Noe Pamarot
Happy birthday to Phillip Ashworth and Noe Pamarot – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.
Ashworth was before my time, but I remember Pamarot’s time at the club – both spells – well. His second time on the south coast was the one I’d guess most will know him from though? In fact some might not even realise he was a Pompey player twice?
Now onto the games previously played.

Well, heading into the game with Plymouth, which is such a crucial one for both clubs, it hasn’t been a bad day for Pompey. Another draw, the most common outcome today, would be taken.
I’ll was at Fratton Park for the 2017 draw with Plymouth, but can’t make Home Park this afternoon. My only other previous game on this day ended in victory at Doncaster in 2012, what an afternoon that was in the sunshine of the Keepmoat Stadium.
